Hello and welcome to ‘Living In London Guide’!
My name is Nicole and I’m an Aussie who has been living in London for over 6 years. This site has been compiled through my experiences of moving to London all that time ago and living here for what has been an amazing time. This is truly one of the most vibrant, exciting and cosmopolitan cities in the world, and I love it so much that I want to share my knowledge of being a Londoner with the world.
When I moved here back in January 2006 I did so with a lot of naivety – I didn’t really know what to expect and I certainly didn’t have a thorough resource to help me learn about the way London works and all the exciting things going on here. This site is hopefully an answer to this – I started it to help both people who may be interested in making the move to London but are not quite sure where to start, through to people already living in London but looking for some further inspiration or information on what’s happening in the UK capital. There is so much to do here that it can feel overwhelming at times, so hopefully we can help with that.
Here you will find all of the information you’ll need to also become a fully-fledged Londoner – from pre-trip checklists, visa information and finding cheap flights, right through to suburb guides, sightseeing, dating and lots more! I’ve tried to be as thorough as possible, but if you can’t find what you’re looking for within these pages then please don’t hesitate to get in touch and I’ll be right on it. After all, I’m here to help!
All the best on your London adventure – remember to make the most of your time here, and most importantly I hope you enjoy this site!
